Esther Speaks on Coliseum City

Esther Goolsby, HOPE’s BEAT Co-chair is an East Oakland resident and longtime neighborhood activist in her neighborhood, the Elmhurst. The City of Oakland has been working on a Coliseum Area Specific Plan, also known as “Coliseum City”, to be built in her backyard. Coliseum City sounds like a great idea in revitalizing East Oakland and bringing economic growth to the City, but will residents in surrounding communities benefit from this major development? Watch this video and hear what Esther thinks about the City’s plan.
