Air Quality Resources

Air quality today is:

This Air Quality Index reader tells you the current AQI based on sensors in the City as well as the predominant pollutant found in the air currently. Note that this reading isn't 100% accurate for all parts of the City as there are a limited amount of air monitors tracking the air quality.

Air Quality Index (AQI) Resources

  • Airnow.gov
Government run website that uses a network of air quality monitors to provide real time air quality information.
  • Purple Air
Air quality site with information coming from Purple Air monitors which can be bought and installed by anyone, not just Government.
  • CalFire Active Fires Map
Map showing active fires burning throughout the state. Useful for tracking potential wildfire smoke impacts.

Did you know...

Indoor Air Quality Resources

Pollution from the outdoors can easily make it inside the home, school, or work place. In addition to emissions coming inside, many sources of pollution exist inside the home including gas appliances and cleaning products.
  • What Makes Indoor Air Unhealthy? - American Lung Association

Find out what makes indoor air unhealthy and how pollution can hurt your body.
  • Incentives Finder - AVA Community Energy
You can make your home and transportation greener with rebates, tax credits, and discounts from government and Ava programs. This web tool will help you find incentives that you are specifically eligible for, based on the information you enter.
  • Health-e Communities - AVA Community Energy
Ava Community Energy (Ava) is launching a new program to study the effects of electrification on indoor air quality. The Health-e Communities program will replace your gas stove with a new electric induction range for free.
