Intern or Volunteer
Do you believe in an Oakland that provides equitable access to affordable, healthy locally grown food; safe and inviting places for physical activity and play; and sustainable, local economies?
HOPE Collaborative works to create community driven and sustainable environmental change that will improve the health and wellness of Oakland’s flatland residents most impacted by social inequities. Interns and volunteers are matched with specific research, outreach, or other projects to support our three work areas; (1) built environment, (2) food systems, and (3) youth and community engagement work. Internships and volunteering at HOPE are opportunities for individuals to directly apply their knowledge and skills in a community setting; gain new skills and experience working in a non-profit environment; and form connections with non-profit, public sector, small business professionals, and Oakland community members.
