HOPE 2 Oak Water Zine
Created by the 2023-2024 Youth Action Board, the zine highlights the importance of drinking water and avoiding sugary drinks like sodas. Interspersed through the zine you will find original art work done by Oakland youth who entered our art contest. Freedom Community Clinic Offers accessible health services and wellness programs tailored to young people. Their focus on preventive care, mental health support, and educational workshops ensures that youth are well-equipped to thrive both physically and emotionally. Roots Community Health Clinic Provides free medical, behavioral, and health services for youth ages 13 to 26. Alameda County Immigration Legal Education Partnership (ACILEP) Provides legal, emergency, and educational support for undocumented youth and families. |
Advocacy & LeadershipHOPE Collaborative Youth Action Board (YAB)
YAB provides opportunities for youth to develop skills in advocacy, grassroots community engagement, storytelling, communications, and organizing, while deepening knowledge of food and environmental justice. Oakland Youth Commission Gives young people the opportunity to advocate for community improvements. They engage youth through policy initiatives and mentorship programs. |
