​Have a Greater Voice in HOPE

 HOPE is a community collaborative made up of passionate, committed, and justice-oriented individuals and organizations that are creating community-driven change in Oakland’s food system and built environment. We are recruiting new folks to serve as leaders in our efforts.

Apply to join the Steering Committee, HOPE’s decision-making body that provides leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to the collaborative’s work and oversees implementation of our Community Action Plan. As part of the Steering Committee, you will become a voting member of HOPE, helping to decide how program dollars are allocated and what projects and initiatives to prioritize in order to advance HOPE’s vision. More importantly, you will be part of a diverse and tightly knit community of Oakland residents and agencies working together towards ​community transformation.

Steering Committee members serve a two year term (2015-2017) and must be able to attend a monthly meeting on the 2nd Tuesday from 4-6PM at the HOPE office.
